Friday September 8th | 6:30pm – 7:30pm or Saturday September 9th | 2pm – 3pm
Smithville Public Library, 318 Canborough St, Smithville
Make a fun folded book bird-cage art piece. Registration is required. $2 per person. Ages 12+

West Niagara Fair

September 7th – 10th

Opening Thu Sep 7 at 6pm for a ‘Midway Only’ night – FREE admission and discounted rides.

Followed by 3 full days of things to do and see for the whole family!

Admission Fri – Sun is $10 for adults, $5 children 6-12. Children 5 and under are free.

Some highlights this year –

We are giving away a weekend package to the ROYAL WINTER FAIR in Toronto this coming November. Adults paying admission will be given an entry ballot at the gate to hand in at the West Niagara Agricultural Society booth located in the Ag Tent.

Livestock show schedule – Poultry show and display all weekend long, judged on Saturday – Goats on Friday morning – Guersney show Friday afternoon – 4H club Achievement day Friday – 4H Intercounty Dairy Calf show is Saturday – back to our Fair is the English&Western horse show on Saturday – Sunday is the second annual AMHR Fall Ball Show (small equine) and the Heavy & Light horse show featuring 4 & 6 hitch competitions. Open beef show Sunday afternoon.

FRIDAY night is our first (of two) demolition derbies – 4 cyl and minivans.

SATURDAY – all things TRACTOR!
We are SO excited to present the TEAM FARMALL SQUARE DANCING TRACTORS – coming for 2 shows at 12:30 and 3:30 pm.
Antique tractor pull and show starts at Noon on Saturday.
Also on Saturday is the Kids Pedal Tractor pull at 5:30pm.
SATURDAY night come out and see the ONTARIO MINI ROD PULLERS ASSOCIATION show starting at 6:30 pm.

SUNDAY we finish the weekend off with our second demo derby (6 & 8 cyl) starting at 4pm.

Kidz Zone, Petting Zoo and Ag Tent open all weekend.

All weekend long we have exhibitor displays – crafts, quilts, veggies, hays&grains, Junior Fair in the Community Hall.
Vendors will be in and around the Community Hall.
Tractors, and other ag equipment as well as cars will be on display.
Musical and other entertainment on the Community Hall stage as well as the annual Baby Show and Diaper Derby as well as the Pet Show. Cooking demos in the Egg Farmers of Ontario kitchen.

AND always Fabulous Fair Food!

Drop & Shop at the Grimsby Market!

Drop your child off for up to one and a half hours for some creative fun while you go shop and enjoy the market!

(We have a waiver/contact form that will need to be filled out and then you are good to go!)

Supervision, snack and juice included.

Price is based on the piece selected per child, ages 5+ are welcome, availability depends on a first come, first serve basis.

Drop-offs start at 3pm with our last pickup time being 8pm.

The Ridgeway Farmers Market runs every Saturday Morning until October 14th in the municipal parking lot in downtown Ridgeway.

Tour of St. Catharines Fire Station

Saturday September 9th | 10am – 11am

Fire Station 1 – 64 Geneva Street, St. Catharines

The kids will get to explore the station, meet the firefighters, and learn all about the fire station! The safety of the guests is very important so therefore the group leader needs to keep track of everyone while working with the on shift Captain. The tour will consist of a brief introduction, a fire safety presentation, a tour of the vehicles (they will be allowed into them) and we will demonstrate what a Firefighter looks like in full personal protective equipment.

Note: If the fire station gets a call, they will have to respond!

This event is limited to 20 people only so please add all adults or kids coming with you to the event under guests.  And also, indicate the number of kids attending and their age during registration.

Market Discovery Table at the Farmers Market

Saturdays June thru October | 9am – 11am

Join in the fun with the Market Discovery Table. Participants will enjoy hands-on experiences, including making butter, creating seed mosaics, honey tasting, market searches and more. A different farm theme is featured each week. Fun for kids of all ages.

The Niagara Region has long been known for the quality of its tender fruits and vegetables. What better way to enjoy this freshness than through a visit to Port Colborne’s weekly Farmers’ Market?

Over 60 vendors from throughout the Niagara Region present their fresh produce, meats, baked goods and a colourful variety of flowers and bedding plants. It is truly a delight for all your senses!

The Market Square is located directly in front of City Hall, 66 Charlotte Street, every Friday morning.

There is free 2 hour time limit parking on downtown streets.
